科技英语是翻译难度较大的英文文体之一，其文体特征时常导致译者的源文分析出现不同程度的偏差，从而使译文不易为读者所理解。关联理论的兴起及在科技英语翻译中的应用为译者提供了一种新思路，有助于译者从交际与认知两个层面在原文与译文间寻得关联，以有效解决上述问题。通过分析科技英语翻译难点以及关联理论的指导作用，从词汇、语句、时态以及篇章等方面对关联理论的应用展开探讨，在此基础上浅探关联理论导向下科技英语的翻译策略。

English for Science and Technology is one of the most challenging writing styles for English translation.The stylistic features of EST usually generate deviation during translators' source text analysis, which, in the end,makes the translation hard for readers to understand. This article proposes that the application of Relevance Theory will offer translators a different perspective in EST translation, as a result of obtaining relevance between source text and translation by means of defining communication and cognition. This article tries to present the difficulties in EST translation and the guidance role of Relevance Theory by showcasing the application of Relevance Theory in such aspects as vocabulary, sentence, tense and passage respectively in purpose of identifying EST translation strategies.
