The Shekou Disturbance occurring in early 1988 helped launch a nationwide debate on the ideological and political work for young people in the New Era.Like a brain storm,the event brought unexpected disturbance to the existing condition,and its indirect impact is still lingering on today.Promoting a rational introspection and innovation on the traditional ideological and political work,the event does play a role in the history of the Chinese Communist Party's ideological-political work.
